Hello from Glendive, Montana!

Travel to Montana

On our arrival in Arkansas to pick up our RV, we were met with a lot of severe weather that kept us from leaving when we planned. There was so much rain that we had to put some gravel down to get out.

When we left Arkansas, we stopped in Missouri to visit a supporting congregation Mt. Vernon church of Christ. This is where Cara’s aunt and uncle worship. Her uncle Stan is one of the elders there.

We saw a lot of the long white line on our way out to Montana. There was not much else to see, but the occasional deer, antelope, and pheasant.

The church in Glendive, MT

We enjoyed getting to know the brethren here. The membership has changed a lot over the last few years. Jobs moved out of the town, and a lot of members moved or passed away. It is now down to fifteen members.

I am teaching and preaching on Sundays. Two men have taken turns preaching, and they are watching the World Video Bible School material for class. They have not had a Wednesday night Bible study since the preacher passed away last year. There is talk of starting that back up while we are here.

Visiting the church in Salmon, ID

After getting to Montana, we made a quick trip to Salmon, ID. We thought it important to follow up with the members there. They have asked us to return to work with them next spring. It was great to see everyone and encouraging to see how they are doing.

Looking Forward

We will be in Glendive, Montana April through June. Please pray for the work in this community. It is a new place for us and we look forward to the possibilities of what God can do.
