January Report

We pray that you have had a great start to your year. Please take a look at what has been happening with us in January.

Florida Stops

We left Benton, Arkansas on January first and our kids went to Henderson, Tennessee on the third. At the writing of this report, they have started their classes and are doing well. We spent some time with our supporters in Florida on our way down to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. There are more that we will be visiting when we get back from Paraguay. It has been good to connect with everyone. Logistically this won’t be something that we can do every year but we are glad it worked out this year.

Heading to Asuncion, Paraguay

On the sixteenth of January, we made our way down to Asuncion. We will be here for two months as we work with the church in Asuncion and visit Easter Island.

We rented a furnished apartment for the time that we will be here. This is a view from the common area on the roof. While most of you have been in near artic temperatures, or at least feel like it, it has been in the hundreds down here. Unfortunately on our arrival, we were sick the first Sunday and were down for about three days. We recovered well and since then we have been out visiting and working with the saints.

When we go to Paraguay there is a lot of time spent with people, catching up on life, and sharing.

It is fun to get to preach in Spanish while we are here. The first one is always rough as I get used to it again.

This is the new location of the church plant in Mariano Roque Alonso, a town connected to Asuncion. We will be working with this group also while we are here. Currently the couple that are working fulltime here are on furlough.

As was mentioned before we will be here until mid-March. Please pray for wisdom on our part, open doors, and open hearts.
