October AMC Bulletin

Snow continues to fall up here in Idaho. We are down to the last days of our time here in Salmon. This is the hardest part of our work: the goodbyes. Pictured below is Jill with Cara. She and her husband Jeff had us in their home often; Jill would come over for coffee with Cara, and we spent a lot of time with them. We are so grateful for these connections and hopeful we will see them again.

October Activities

This was the month of lectureships up here in the Northwest. We attended the Montana lectures that were held at the Missoula congregation. It is a three-hour drive over the mountain to Missoula. We heard Pedro Sanchez, a brother from Santiago, Chile, preach. He is a great worker for the Lord in Chile and all over South America. It was great to see him again.

We also attended the Linder Road church of Christ lectureship. There were six great speakers. Some of whom we knew and others who were new to us. All of them were encouraging and motivating. We also spent time with friends and family in the area. We are thankful for our connection with this congregation.

Bible Studies

Part of our work while here in Salmon has been reaching out to members and former members who needed to return to the church. This study was in the home of Jeff and Chloe and included Chloe’s cousin Terry. He is a good man we were trying to encourage to come back to the church. Please pray for his heart that he will return to his first love.

Cara and I will miss our weekly studies with Jeff and Chloe. It was so great to get to know them better. This is another one of those connections that blessed our time in Salmon.

Looking Forward

We will be hitting the road on Thursday the 29th, heading down to Marble Falls, TX. We will be there reporting to our supporting congregations and visiting family for Thanksgiving.
